Bill Slocum
I am a long time Canberra resident and began my working life in a variety of positions in commercial radio with a 15 year career at 2CC.
In 1990 I eventually became tired of listening to records ( not really ) and it was time for a change. After a couple of years “finding myself” I took the leap into the Promotional Products industry with the purchase of Paddywack.
Hard to believe, but that was over 20 years ago and we are still here. Definitely something to be proud of and a credit to great customers, great suppliers and of course great staff ( past and present ).
I have always been focussed on providing the best products for our clients and have become an expert on just about all of them, even plastic bags.
When I am not at work I am usually at home with the always expanding family or at the golf course.
The biggest change in the industry I have seen over the past 25 years ? Well 15 years ago we competed with other Canberra based business’s, now we compete with the world…….

Alison Slocum
Alison has recently joined the team as General Manager and will also being taking care of the day to day accounts which will be a nice change for both our suppliers and customers as we have not had a full time accounts person for over 6 years.
This isn’t the first time I have been in family business as I was the Production and Clients Services Manager for over four years at our sister company Ideas and Directions Advertising Agency. More recently I have spent two years in the finance industry and have also held many retail and customer service positions, which have helped me develop a well-rounded set of skills that I believe will help me to excel in this new role.
I have a great love for travel and had lived a year each in both Belfast, Northern Ireland and Alberta, Canada (living on a Turkey Farm!). I have driven across America twice, seen a lot of Europe and the UK….. I could go on and on. When I am not at work or planning my next adventure I am spending time with my friends and family and spoiling my niece and two nephews.
